All cats boarding at Teme Acre Cattery must be up to date with their annual vaccinations. No cat will be accepted unless it has been inoculated against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu.
Vaccination certificates will be inspected at every visit and held for the duration of the stay. Owners must ensure that the vaccinations have had sufficient time to provide immunity before their boarding. Boosters need to be given a minimum of 2 weeks before the arrival date.
We take great care to ensure that we remain free from fleas and worms, so your cat does not contract them while staying with us, therefore can you please administer flea and worm treatments at least 48 hours prior to boarding.
Cat must be brought in by a secure cat carrier (cardboard crates aren’t accepted)
Any current or ongoing problems with a cat’s health or temperament must be notified to us at the time of booking. Written details of any special diets/allergies/injuries or medication must accompany your pet when boarding.We reserve the right to refuse any cat that we consider to be sick at the time of boarding.
In the event your pet shows signs of illness, we will immediately place them in a quarantine area, separated from other cats to stop the spread of illness. We will contact you or your emergency contact immediately to discuss the situation & if necessary seek advice from the veterinarian and act on their instruction.
If we are unable to reach you or your emergency contact, we feel your pet needs to be seen, we will take your pet to see the veterinarian.
Veterinary bills incurred will be the responsibility of the owner. Payment of these fees will be required on collection.
We reserve the right to consult a Vet at any time if we feel your cat may be in stress/ill.
There is no additional charge for administering basic oral or topical medication, however these must be in clearly labelled containers stating the cat’s name, the frequency and dosage requirements and completed in full on the booking form.
Whilst we are prepared to administer any necessary medication as prescribed by a Vet and will do so with the greatest of care, we will not accept any liability for problems arising as a result of the medication given.
We accept no liability in the unlikely event your pet becomes ill, lost or dies during their stay. All pets are left entirely at the owner's risk.
No pet will be released to a third party without authorization and full payment made.
If pets are not collected within 7 days of the departure date, and no communication is received from the owner, the pet will be deemed as abandoned and appropriate local authorities contacted. The full amount of duration of stay will still be payable.
Fees are charged per day including the day of arrival and departure, regardless of departure time.
Should a cat be collected before the booked departure date, the full occupancy fee will be charged.
Full payment by Cash or BACS is required on the day of collection. Unfortunately we do not currently have the facility to accept payment by debit or credit card.
Only cats from the same household can share a chalet subject to them getting along with one another.
Our minimum stay / charge throughout the year is 3 days.
If you need to cancel your booking or you need to change/amend your booking in any way you will need to let us know a minimum of 7 days before your arrival date otherwise the full amount of the original booking will still be payable.
We work at the cattery round the clock, but our arrivals and collections run on an Appointment Only basis during the following opening hours – Monday to Friday: 9.30 am - 12.00 pm 3.00 pm - 5.30 pm Saturday & Sunday: 9.30 am - 12.00 pm
We are closed for arrivals and collections Bank Holiday Mondays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
